My Havenly Design Review: How it works & What to Expect

This month marks three years of living in Atlanta. What better way to celebrate than giving a tour of my apartment? When I moved to Atlanta, I went through the whole roommate experience, which wasn’t for me. This March I finally had the opportunity to move into my first apartment living alone! To make things even sweeter, I had the opportunity to partner with a design service, Havenly to decorate my apartment. Below I’ll be sharing all the deets on my design experience.

Before

Step 1

I started the process by picking out a designer. I worked with a designer named Emily that specialized in modern design. Next, I answered a questionnaire and shared a bunch of ideas with Emily (finally got to put my Pinterest boards to good use).

Step 2

Next, Emily took all of my ideas and sent back 3 mood boards to help hone in on my design style.

Step 3

After I reviewed all 3 options, Emily took my feedback and created a mood board with all of the pieces I loved.

Step 4

Once I narrowed down all the items I wanted in my space, Emily sent me a mock-up of my room along with a shopping list. The mock-up was my favorite part of the experience because it’s life-like.

Working with Havenly took all of the guesswork out of designing my space, especially selecting the right-size furniture. I’ve always had trouble defining my design style. I love how Havenly took all the elements I love and helped me incorporate them into my design cohesively. I would never have imagined that I could make my Pinterest boards a reality.
