It’s finally Spring which means it’s time to start wearing less and going out more. I figured this is the perfect time to share one of the trends I’m most excited about for the season. For the past couple of years, sportswear has dominated fashion. Most of us aren’t wearing suits to work. So it makes sense that menswear has become a lot more relaxed. Suiting isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. But designers are presenting new ways to wear them. The most provocative way to wear suit this spring is shirtless.
Being a bigger guy, you’d think that this way to wear suits isn’t for us. But I decided to give it a try. Surprisingly, I didn’t hate it. There are plenty of changes I’d like to make to my body. But I’m not gonna be ashamed of it because other people might not appreciate my body. I drew inspiration from Solange’s latest project When I Get Home. Specifically her visuals for “Down With the Clique.” I picked up this Kenneth Cole Reaction suit last year from Macy’s for only $100. I paired it with a cowboy hat from Fashionable Hats and Sperry Chelsea boots. I love this look because it’s a tad bit androgynous especially with the silver ASOS choker. This way to wear suits isn’t for everyone. But I recommend it if you want to try something new and fashionable this Spring.
