Sundays are my favorite time to unwind. My weekdays are jam-packed. So I like to start the week by taking care of myself. One of my favorite ways to do that is putting some extra time into my grooming regimen. I’ve been trying out a lot of new products lately. Plus a new season is a good time to switch up products. So I’m breaking down my top recommended skin care products for Winter.
Top Recommended Skin Care Products
Murad Essential-C Cleanser
First is my favorite cleanser. I worked at Massage Envy for a couple of months. They only use Murad for their facials, so I had a chance to try a lot of their products. Murad’s essential-c cleanser is perfect for this time of year because it’s so hydrating. Cold weather tends to dry out the skin so this cleanser helps restore balance.
Boscia Charcoal Deep-Pore Exfoliating Peel Gel
Next is Boscia’s exfoliating peel gel. I loved Boscia’s original formula so I wanted to try out the charcoal version. Charcoal is like a magnet for dirt and oil so this exfoliator offers a deeper clean than the original peel gel. The main reason I love this product is that it removes dead skin cells to keep your pores clear. I like to use it when I shave to cut down on ingrown hairs.
Lab Series Future Rescue Repair Serum
My absolute favorite product now is Lab Series Repair Serum. If you’re not using some type of serum in your grooming routine, you should throw your whole regimen. Clear skin is nice and all, but this serum improves the texture of my skin. So you end up with smoother skin over time.
Boscia Luminizing Black Charcoal Mask | Lush Cup O’ Coffee | Lush Birth of Venus
I’ve been on a mask kick here lately. The three I’ve had in the rotation are Boscia’s black mask, Lush’s Cup O’ Coffee, and Lush’s Birth of Venus. Boscia’s black mask exfoliates and brightens dull skin. You can read more about this mask here. Cup o coffee is like the black mask, but it also has caffeine for an added boost of energy. I like to use cup o coffee while I get ready in the mornings. Birth of Venus is my most recent buy. I’ve used it to help hydrate my skin and prevent blemishes.
Lab Series Age Rescue Plus Water-Charged Gel Cream | Shea Moisture Coconut Oil
My favorite moisturizers have been Lab Series gel cream and Shea Moisture’s coconut oil. I recently ran out of the gel cream. It’s super hydrating but it was a little heavy for me to wear year round. It is perfect to use for winter though. I’m obsessed with coconut now. You can use it head-to-toe. I like to put some on as soon a jump of the shower to locks in moisture. I love using it for a facial moisturizer because it also softens your beard. It can be little oily if you go overboard, but it’s perfect to keep your skin moisturized this winter.
