For the past ten years, GQ has collaborated with Gap to celebrate the best new designers in America. I love this collaboration because it gives everyone access to designer clothes at mall prices. This year GQ really stepped up their game! The collaboration went international to crown the best designers on the planet. The GQ x Gap 2017 lineup included United Arrows, Kinfolk, and my favorite, AMI.
GQ x GAP 2017: AMI
Alexandre Mattiussi launched AMI in 2011 making it a newish Parisian label. Fun fact, Alexandre worked for Dior, Marc Jacobs, and Givenchy before starting his own label. I love AMI because it aligns perfectly with my style. Alexandre designs are always effortlessly stylish. My sweatshirt, for example, is simple but there’s still a touch of sophistication. I loved Alexandre’s idea of mixing sportswear and street style. To go along with this vibe, I’ve paired my sweatshirt with my ZARA overcoat (similar coat here), American Eagle side-striped joggers (similar here and another outfit idea here), and Adidas Stan Smiths. Mini fisherman beanies just feel very European, so I’ve topped off my look with one by ASOS.
