I love keeping my outfits cool and simple. That’s why wearing all white is one of my favorite style moves during the summer. With a few styling tricks, you’ll still look put together even when it’s crazy hot. I wore a monochrome look to a brunch I attended last weekend so I wanted to share some tips for styling all white outfits for guys.
How to Style All White Outfits For Guys
1. Dress for the Occasion
Last weekend a couple girl’s here in Lexington hosted a Lexington Blogger Brunch at the Barn at Springhouse in Nicholasville, KY. There really wasn’t an occasion. Really it turned into an opportunity to throw an over-the-top get-together inspired by Pinterest. Usually people fail miserably when they recreate something from they’ve pinned on Pinterest, but our host, Kayla (founder of Kayla Weber Art) completely nailed the event.
Meeting up with other bloggers is a little intimidating, because you know everyone is going to dress to impress. My original plan was to wear an old short sleeve button down and jeans, but it didn’t feel special enough. Since this was a semi formal occasion I wore an Express blazer (similar) with a Gap t-shirt ($19) and jeans ($34). I finished off my look with a black belt, Tom Ford sunglasses, and ASOS backless loafers (similar). Dressing down a suit or blazer with a t-shirt is the coolest way to go semi formal. You’ll still look put together without looking like you’ve tried too hard.
2. Opt for Lightweight Materials
The day of our Springhouse Blogger Brunch ended up being pretty hot, so sweating was basically inevitable. Luckily both my t-shirt and blazer were made from a breathable linen cotton blend to keep me a little cool. When it comes to summer dressing, you want to go as lightweight as possible. Lightweight materials like linen are not only breathable, but they’re more comfortable as well. You may end up sweating, but at least you won’t have to deal with feeling stuffy too.
3. Embrace the Imperfections
As I mentioned before, dealing with sweat in the summer is inevitable. That’s why it’s just best to embrace it when styling all white outfits for guys. As long as you dress the part, a little sweat won’t hurt anything. Neither will wrinkles. Linen is made to be laid back and chill, so don’t worry about looking too crisp.
